This is a typical short list of items that a storage business would make customers aware of as it relates to what is not allowed to be stored:
Gasoline and other Flammable Liquids, piled clothing, loose papers, animals or animal carcasses, unlawful goods of any nature, perishable or other FOOD STUFFS, used tires or anything that smells or creates odors (like fertilizer) or will spoil. Occupant shall not store any substance classified by State or Federal Law as a TOXIC SUBSTANCE OR TOXIC WASTE.
· Food: This should be obvious. Having bags of food like rice or cereal boxes or anything else can attract rodents and other unwanted creatures. This is a big no no.
· Hazardous Materials: Contractors or even home owners looking to store cans, 55-galon containers etc are absolutely not allowed to store hazardous materials for every reason imaginable. Leakage of these materials can endanger people and of course their belongings. It’s always best to ask what constitutes hazardous materials.
